A traditional Mexican Chorizo empanada made with local ground pork, ground beef, our cheese mix, wrapped in our handmade traditional crispy dough. Our original chorizo sauce brings you to Tulum for a couple of minutes ;).
Dough: Wheat Flour, Butter, Salt, sugar, Annatto seed.
Filling: Maine Ground Pork, Maine Ground Beef, Chorizo sauce (Onion, Garlic, Pastilla, Apple Cider Vinegar, Water), Monterrey Jack Cheese,Cheddar Cheese, Seasoning (salt, pepper). Hot level: Mild.
Contains dairy in the dough. Processed in a facility that handles tree nuts.
The empanadas taste better baked, but you can totally fry them too. There is no need to thaw the frozen empanadas.
Baked: Coat pan with cooking oil evenly, set frozen empanadas on the pan and place in a preheated oven at 400 ºF for 10-15 minutes.
Fried: Place frozen empanadas one by one in a preheated deep fryer at 350 ºF. Remove empanadas after 5-7 minutes. Enjoy!
Optional: Air fryer baking: Set frozen empanadas in the air fryer at 400 ºF for 10-15 minutes.
